Mrs. Bogsby, a village woman.
She goes to the big house to oblige when the staff needs an extra hand. Ever since Lady Atherton’s house party started, she’s been going up there, regular.
She is such a help.
She is also a very angry and bitter woman.
Because Mad Lucy Atherton killed her only son.
Mrs. Bogsby doesn’t blame the poor mad thing, though. Lucy was so young when it happened.
She blames Lady Atherton, for letting the child run free and for hushing the whole thing up the way she did.
Mrs. Bogsby blames Lady Atherton very much.
Practically every ounce of Mrs. Bogsby’s mental energy is spent on blaming Lady Atherton.
And, of course, on plotting her revenge.
